En el séptimo episodio de Atlas Aquática​, estuvo presente la belleza del oleaje y literatura en la sección Mar y letras, donde la ensayista y poeta Julia Santibáñez presentó Océano mar, del italiano Alessandro Baricco. Cicatrices físicas y emocionales, deseos, miedos, intriga o fascinación por el mar, son algunos temas que comparten los personajes de tal obra. 

En la sección Rompeolas, desde su amplia experiencia y reconocimiento en el mundo documental y del buceo Manuel Lazcano, Silvana Ocaña y Alberto Friscione, resolvieron una gran incógnita: ¿Pueden los buzos aportar en la conservación de los mares? 

Aunque llegaron a una conclusión afirmativa, los tres especialistas mencionaron diversos tópicos que impiden la conservación de los mares: Desde las malas prácticas que los propios buzos y pescadores pueden ejercer en contra de la biodiversidad, hasta temas en los que consideran fundamental una pesca sustentable y no sólo de extracción, apostar por un beneficio económico basado en la conservación y actividades de buceo en lugar de la pesca, duros castigos a quienes afectan los mares, mayor educación ambiental, entre otros temas.
